Your first deployment in 10 minutes

Run a single XPLG node with Docker and open its web console.

What you will do: start one node of the product you want to evaluate on a machine you control, and open its console in a browser.

The fastest path is Docker on a laptop or a test server. Production topologies (clusters, agents, gateways) come later; here you want a first successful try.

Prerequisites

  • Docker installed and running.
  • A machine with enough free memory and disk for a single node:
Memory: <placeholder>
Disk: <placeholder>
  • Outbound network access, so the node can later report to dock.

Steps

  1. Pull the image for the product you are evaluating:
docker pull <placeholder-image>:<placeholder-version>
  1. Start the node, publishing its console port and persisting its data directory:
docker run -d --name xplg-node \
  -p <placeholder-port>:<placeholder-port> \
  -v xplg-data:<placeholder-data-path> \
  <placeholder-image>:<placeholder-version>
  1. Wait for the container to report healthy:
docker logs -f xplg-node
  1. Open the console in a browser:
http://localhost:<placeholder-port>
  1. Complete the first-run screen in the console. Keep the admin credentials you set; you will need them to register the deployment.

What success looks like

The console loads, you can sign in, and the node shows itself as running with no license warnings beyond the expected "no license" notice. That notice goes away after Get an evaluation license.

If it does not start

  • Check that the console port is free on the host.
  • Check the container logs for memory or disk errors.
  • See the full Docker guide for options and troubleshooting.
