Release notes
What changed in each XPLG release — X8 8.2.0-Main and the V7 builds 7.9859, 7.9858, 7.9813 and the Java 17 migration patch — with prerequisites and upgrade notes.
XPLG releases several updates a year: security updates, new features, optimisations and fixes. Every release has a page here with its prerequisites, what changed and how to validate the upgrade. The procedure itself is on Upgrades; the dock portal's own changes are in the changelog.

How releases work
- V7 builds are numbered patches applied as a zip from XPLG > System > About > Publish Patch to every cluster node in one operation. Builds below 7.9001 cannot take current patches: Java 17 and Tomcat 10 have been mandatory since patch 9001. Check the installed version under System > About and the Java version under System > System Health > System Information on every node.
- X8 releases are image tags. An upgrade is a change of
XPLG_IMAGEin.env, a pull anddocker compose up -d; roll back by restoring the previous tag. - Validate every upgrade in five phases — About, System Health, configuration screens, Search, Apps — described on Upgrades.
- Updates and upgrades are included in every subscription and evaluation. The deployment reports its new version to dock on the next heartbeat; Deployments shows it.
Older V7 release notes (builds before 7.9813) remain on the XPLG wiki; pages here start with the current generation of both lines.
