Google Cloud Marketplace
Deploy an XPLG product in your Google Cloud project from the Google Cloud Marketplace listing and pay on your Google Cloud bill.
What you will do: deploy the XPLG listing from Google Cloud Marketplace into a project you own and connect it to dock.
The product runs in your project; the charge appears on your Google Cloud invoice. Licenses and features are the same as in every other environment.
Prerequisites
- A Google Cloud project with billing enabled and permission to deploy marketplace solutions.
- A VPC network and a firewall rule that allows the console port from where you will use it.
Steps
- Open the XPLG listing:
<placeholder-google-cloud-marketplace-url>
- Choose Launch or Configure and select the project.
- Choose the zone and the machine type from Sizing and capacity planning, and add a persistent disk for data.
- Deploy. When the deployment is ready, open the console:
http://<placeholder-instance-address>:<placeholder-port>
- Complete the first-run screen and register the deployment.
Linking the marketplace subscription to dock
Open Subscription in your workspace and choose Link cloud marketplace subscription to attach the Google Cloud purchase to your organization. Licenses then appear on Licenses and consumption on Usage. See Subscriptions and cloud marketplaces.
Operations
- Upgrade: follow Upgrades; keep the persistent disk when replacing the instance.
- Backup: schedule persistent disk snapshots.
- Cancel: cancel from the Google Cloud console; the deployment keeps running until its license expires.
